These events provide opportunities for individuals, families, and especially our youth and young adults to come together in a supportive environment. Through these gatherings, we create spaces for open dialogue, share resources, and celebrate the unique experiences and strengths of our community. By bringing people together, we strengthen the bonds that make us resilient and help ensure everyone feels seen, valued, and connected. Our community events are vital in promoting healing, empowerment, and unity, which are core to the work we do every day.
Halloween Bash
Our annual Halloween event is a fun and festive way to bring the community together and provide a safe space for families, youth, and young adults to celebrate. Featuring costume contests, games, music, and treats, the event is designed to foster connection and community spirit while offering a positive environment for everyone. It’s more than just a celebration—it’s an opportunity for people to come together, build relationships, and strengthen the sense of belonging that is core to our mission at The Foundation WA
Jayden's toys
Jayden’s Toys, founded by Chante Dion in memory of her son Jayden, who passed away from Neuroblastoma, honors his legacy by giving back to the Children's Cancer Care Alliance, which supported their family during their cancer journey. In partnership with The Foundation WA, this annual event collects unwrapped toys and gift cards to brighten the holidays for children in need, celebrating the power of community and giving in Jayden’s honor.

The Love Every Shade event is a celebration of diversity, unity, and community empowerment, hosted by The Foundation WA. This event brings together people from all backgrounds to honor and embrace the beauty of every culture and identity. Love Every Shade fosters a sense of belonging and creates an inclusive space where everyone feels seen, valued, and celebrated.

The Community Resource Giveaway is a vital event that provides essential household items, food, and hygiene products to families in need. Beyond meeting immediate needs, it connects individuals with local organizations and resources that offer ongoing support. This event strengthens community ties by ensuring that everyone has access to basic necessities while also fostering connections that empower people to thrive. It's a day of support, care, and building lasting relationships within our community.
black family day nw
Black Family Day NW, in partnership with the NAACP and other Vancouver organizations, is a vibrant celebration of culture, music, and community. This event brings families together to enjoy live performances, cultural showcases, and connect with vital back-to-school resources. It’s a day of unity, highlighting the strength and resilience of the Black community, while providing support and joy as students prepare for the upcoming school year.
